Creme brulee? Or is Ben & Jerry’s enough for Gina Lamm? #giveaway
Crazy Qs with Gina Lamm (be sure to read all the way to the bottom for her giveaway!)
Ben & Jerry’s ____________ is the best ice cream ever!
Creme Brulee. Holy cow, that stuff is amazing. It’s this thick, vanilla-y, custard-y ice cream that’s so rich and decadent that it’s sinful. And then there are these little crunchy sugary bits mixed in there, that taste caramelized like the top of a real creme brulee. I could swim in that stuff, it is so delicious. It’s the next best thing to the real creme brulee, which I am convinced is the world’s perfect food.
Now that the most important questions has been answered, let me tell you why Gina is here and then you can get on to reading more about her! Gina is the proud owner of a new puppy! No … wait. She’s a new mom? Nope. Actually, Ms. Lamm here is the debut author of One Night to fly, a paranormal romance. This is her very, very, very first novel! Since there can never, ever, ever be a ‘first’ like this again, I wanted to know more about Gina and invited her over to share a few lesser known tidbits about her life.
If you want to ask Gina more about herself yourself, leave a comment in the post or connect with her at any of the places below! Or, better yet, just keep reading!
Do spelling and grammer mistakes annoy you?
You mean like the one in the question above???? ARGH! In general, not really, but when trying to be professional, they irk me to the nth degree.
Do you prefer the people in your life to be simple or complex?
I don’t mind complex people, as long as they’re not too difficult to figure out. Some people have oddly unnecessary rules when it comes to how you interact with them, and that bothers me. So be as complex as you want, but be upfront about it. 🙂
If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?
“Author!
I love to write. It’s my second most favorite thing to do, other than reading. Nothing would make me happier than to play pretend in my head all day, write it down, and have people enjoy it.
I just want to be able to do it full time. :)”
Before I ask the last question, let’s chat about the book…
Ginger Thistlewaite doesn’t want a blind date. She’s happy with her career, her lonely apartment, and the strange visions that keep her company each night. But when a meddling co-worker sets her up for a blind date, she feels she has no choice but to go along with it.
Baird Kirkland’s been searching for a Daemon female for a long time. Human women can’t satisfy the urges within him so he hires Madame Eve’s 1Night Stand dating service to find a suitable Daemon match, hoping one night will lead to something more.
Baird rubs Ginger wrong from the start. But when his Daemon wings burst free, a vision straight from her dreams, will Ginger be able to resist him?
In 50 words or less, tell me why you wrote your book…
I was interested in the dating service idea, and I love books about characters discovering their hidden natures.
Favorite 6 sentences from the book
“This is illegal and I’m going to sue! Put me down, you jackass!”
“All right then.”
He smiled at her bloodcurdling scream as she tumbled from his arms. After only a second, he dove down and scooped her back up against his chest.
“Are you going to stop calling me names now, lass?”
And one last question before we go …
What scares you the most?
Bees. I am petrified of bees. I’m not sure why, but I freak out whenever they’re near me. I’ve never even been stung, but I have this odd certainty that if I am, I’ll instantly go into anaphylactic (sp?) shock.

Congratulations, Gina! Baird sounds absolutely yummy (even yummier than B&J’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie, my fave!), and the cover is delicious. I adore winged characters. Happy debut!
Ooh, JA, you HAVE to find some. It’s sort of scarce around here too. Just have to find the right store.
If you can’t find that one, Dublin Mudslide is also a great choice. Glad you liked the snippet! Good luck!
