Portraits add feel of movement to Harmony Pilates

On May 28, 2009 by Aimee

Harmony Pilates opens, officially, on June 1st. We got the sneak peek early this week when we went to hang seven portraits on the walls. The images, all black & white, are a beautiful addition to the new, open space in which Harmony has found its home.

The feelings that the images evoke is almost magical; they fit the space as well as any of Susan’s equipment, teachers, furnishings, color and decor. While the images were hand picked for display in her space, the combined effect that they have was beyond my personal expectation.

Hanging from hidden tracks in the ceiling, the bottoms line up perfectly with the ledges of the windows built into the ancient, but well preserved brick. The tones of the studio didn’t need additional color, the black & white suit it perfectly. Anyone looking at the images would probably think they were stock photographs, when in fact, they were all personally created by the staff at PEP.

In fact, one comes all the way from Europe and another recently won a competition in Durham. There is a lot to be said for our team of photographers.

I can’t be happier with the images and their position, placement and display at Harmony. 🙂 So, to show you what we’ve had the pleasure of seeing already … enjoy …
