The Caring Community Foundation is holding it’s 5th annual fundraising event on September 16, 2006 at Exploris Museum in Raleigh, NC at 7:00 pm. Pure Expressions Photography has donated a gift certificate for a free in-studio or on-location session and mounted 16×20 (or smaller) print from a purchased digital negative. The second gift certificate is for a three-session Baby’s First Year program.

From the Caring Community Foundation website…
The Caring Community Foundation, Inc. is a 501(3)(c) charitable organization that provides financial support to cancer patients in need. The Foundation works with clinics and hospitals in the Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, NC areas to identify patients with financial challenges, and to expeditiously provide assistance with expenses such as rent, utilities, food, prescription medications, nutritional supplements and other items that become even more difficult to manage in the face of cancer treatment.

The Caring Community Foundation was created by a local cancer survivor from Cary, NC, whose family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors came together to support her during 9 months of intensive cancer treatment. The Foundation was generated with the idea that those who receive help have an opportunity one day to “Pay It Forward” and help others. The very people who helped the young Cary mother get beyond cancer now form the nucleus of The Caring Community Foundation. There are no paid employees; everyone is a volunteer, and everyone cares.
