I may not be a New York Times bestseller, but notes like this make me feel like one.
I received this note yesterday:
Dear Ms. Laine,
My name is MichelleM and I had previously won your book “Hide & Seek” (which was great!). I have been trying ever since then to get your books added to our little town library circuit. All the cutbacks prevented them from ordering new authors. So I continued raving about your work by word of mouth. Last night the library committee let me know they were ordering your books. I was delighted to say the least!! Just thought I would share with you. Sincerely, Michelle
Yes, I read that and immediately had tears in my eyes and heated cheeks. I’m humbled by notes like this. I’m sure authors with more fans get these all the time, but I have to say, this is the type of note that makes me just want to keep on writing. Yup. This means the world to me and it makes me feel like the most special girl in the world.
Thank you, Michelle. 🙂
So awesome, Aimee. I think I would cry, too. What a lovely testament to your hard work. Congratulations. You have lovely fans. If we can all be so lucky
Thanks, Jenny!
That was wonderful of her! 🙂
Wasn’t it just? 🙂
Dude! I just came in here and thought I’d landed in the wrong place. LOVE this new look. 😀
And, yeah, that message is AWESOME!
hehehee. It’s getting there. Got some more stuff to do once work is over for the day. 🙂
