About the front:
I have BEEN in this position! When I first saw this cover, the teal-green drew me in. Then the funky pose made me wonder what in the world it actually was ON the cover. Well … I had to look closer and when I saw her stuck into the bed, I went, “I’ve done that!” Ha! These is such a great “I’m so over it” pose. I love that her eye is showing, too because it shows she’s still there, she’s looking, she’s watching, she’s seeing what’s going on. Of course with a title like ‘Spin’ there could be dozens of possibilities for this story. And the tag line, “How far would you go to get what you’ve always wanted?” — doesn’t that apply to all of us?

Now let’s look at what the back says:

Katie Sandford has just gotten an interview at her favourite music magazine, The Line. It’s the chance of a lifetime. So what does she do? Goes out to celebrate – and shows up still drunk at the interview. No surprise, she doesn’t get the job, but the folks at The Line think she might be perfect for another assignment for their sister gossip rag. All Katie has to do is follow It Girl Amber Sheppard into rehab. If she can get the inside scoop (and complete the 30-day program without getting kicked out), they’ll reconsider her for the job at The Line.

Katie takes the job. But things get complicated when real friendships develop, a cute celebrity handler named Henry gets involved, and Katie begins to realize she may be in rehab for a reason. Katie has to make a decision — is publishing the article worth everything she has to lose?

Does it match? Front to Back without the in between?
Absolutely. So she’s drunk! Ha! And what a position to be in. I am totally suckered into this. It has the feel of a contemporary romance, and friendship and quirkiness and comedy. It has a “I wish I hadn’t done that feel” which we’ve ALL experienced. Everyone has had a moment where they went, “Damn! What was I thinking?” even if it wasn’t super serious. And that’s what I feel here.

Where I’d read it
This one could be anywhere, but I’m definitely adding it to my TBR pile. 🙂
