Ever had an ‘aha’ moment courtesy of a perfect stranger? #sixsunday
In honor of the release of Misguided, my short in the Into the Unknown Anthology on December 1, 2011 (which is from the point of view of Wyatt Moreland, main character in Little White Lies), I’m giving you one final peek into this story!
Like all good missions, they often have sub-missions that sometimes, not even the main mission-seeker realizes is the bigger, more important one.
Carol, the woman they’d been waiting for, walked over holding up a small mirror for Charley.
“Sometimes, Mr. Moreland,” Jasmine began, “what is suggested on the surface and what we see in reality do not mesh. And other times, they do.” She pulled at the band on her own finger, separating it from another ring. “What seems to be missing, is in reality, found.” She angled her head toward Charley.
Ever had an ‘aha’ moment courtesy of a perfect stranger? What do you say when that happens? Share in the comments!
You see how it takes a woman to enlighten a bloke? Hehehe. 🙂
I like that, “angling her head towards Charley” hehe, here’s your aha moment, Wyatt 🙂
Nice moment captured. I wonder what Charley’s going to say to all of this?
If only all salespeople were as intuitive as Jasmine, lucky for Wyatt. Worth her weight in gold it would seem. 🙂
Very intriguing, and I love how she holds all the strings 🙂
I love the nonverbal actions with her ring. Sensational six, Aimee. I wish you and your partners much luck with Into the Unknown.
Actually Aimee, my newest release is titled Perfect Strangers. *Big Grin* I like your take on the moment too. ~gem
Thanks, Julie, Kelly, Heather, Lila, Zee, Sandra and Gem! 🙂 Glad you liked it!
Intriguing–but I don’t know the background.
In my experience, most men do not respond well to subtle messages hidden in riddles… Let’s hope Mr. Moreland is not like most men! 😉
I agree with J.C. Most men need to be beaten over the head with facts before they “get it”. I’m glad Wyatt is not one of those men. 😉
