About Me
Hi and welcome to my blog!
I am a Christian, wife, mother and workerbee. This blog mixes and matches a lot of what I do with who I am.
I’m a romantic … and as a photographic artist, I’m the epitome of that term. Whether it be via visual or written imagery, I like to bring out inner beauty. Some have called it pure talent, others an intrinsic ability to understand my subject’s soul. No matter what it is, my images are real, fun, imaginative and unique, and I hope my writing is, too.
I infuse my beliefs, love of the artistic and my open, honest spirit into the my work and those with whom I surrounds herself.
To me, photography and writing are like a couple’s first kiss. It’s desired, sometimes unbearably. Anticipation and excitement rule the moment. Once the memory is created, it can’t be duplicated rather opens one’s eye to new adventures.
My goal as a photographer is to create art from people — to suspend the notion that photographs are merely placeholders in an album of life long since forgotten and covered with dust on a shelf. I want your images to reflect you, myself and to be showcased appropriately.
My goal as a writer is to entertain. To make you laugh, cry, get mad, suck in your breath in a moment of panic and ultimately walk away with a smile on your face.
See? I told you I’m a romantic.
Enough sappy formality … let’s get to the real heart of who I am.
I am a southern transplant with a bit of the accent but not a whole bunch, married to my high school sweetheart, and together, we’ve produced three native North Carolinians, two of whom share the same DNA.
I have an MBA from NCSU (go Wolfpack!) and an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics … yet I must still use a calculator to add two numbers.
Got questions? Ask away. I’m happy to answer … well … most anything.
