Blog Chain : Interview with an antagonist
Doesn’t have quite the ring that ‘Interview with a vampire’ has, but it is kinda cool. In this blog chain from Absolute Write, I’ve got two parts to cover. First, though … before me went: LadyMage and after me goes:
jonbon.benjamin. Be sure to check them and all those in the chain out. π
Part one: Describe the antagonist in your novel in 50 words or less.
Part two: What would you say to your antagonist if you met him or her in real life? Post a scene in response to this question in 100 words or less.
Part One:
In Hide and Seek, I have two antagonists. They are the main characters themselves, who were made to be each otherβs antagonists (by a very insane Greek god who shall not be named). In the end though my two are meant to be one. Together. That makes their story.
Part Two:
Me: Why are you fighting this thing between the two of you?
Him: Me? Iβm not fighting it. Sheβs fighting it. [Crosses arms showing off muscles in forearm]
Her: Iβm fighting it? [Waves him off and looks directly at me] Would you want a guy who can lie, steal and cheat and get away with it?
Me: One who looks like him? Hell, yeah. Oh β¦ was that an out loud thought? [Blush]
Him/Her: [Nods]
Me: What if the metaphysical difference brought you together?
Him: [Smiles knowingly]
Her: [Huffs a breath] Then why are we inherently against each other?
Me: Makes a good story for the grandkids?
And there you have it. Hope you enjoyed. π Be sure to stop by others in the chain!

Fun tale! A yin and yang in endless chase yet still part of the same whole. Clever boots, that Aimee.

Very unique story and brings back memories.
Thanks, Reena!!
Heheheeheheh.
[Crosses arms showing off muscles in forearm]<<oh, yeah–still fresh in my mind, baby. π

I blushed! Of course I blushed! π π Though I’ve ‘seen’ him naked, so no … no blushing. π π hehehehehehehe
Wow, great post. Sounds like the way some partners, friends, family members treat each other in reality.
Thanks, Deanna! π
Sounds like an intriguing story! π

Antagonists in love…no wonder you’re blushing *grin*
Hehehe. Thanks, Diane! π
Seems like a couple that loves to hate each other and hate to love as well.
Interesting play on Fate and Romance.
Yep, that’s them, Rafael. Thanks for stopping by! π
Now when you say the two are meant to be one, do you mean that figuratively (marriage) or literally (merger)? Anything goes when it comes to those wacky Greek gods.
Figuratively. π π Or maybe not. π Ha! Thanks Orion_mk3!
