A rainy Saturday morning and we were outside. At least it wasn’t cold! On the flip side, this was quite the honor as photography goes.
I have been a long-time supporter of the JC Raulston Arboretum and recommend it to every family that wants outdoor photography throughout the year.
The Arboretum is part of my Alma Mater (NCSU) and as a year-round garden, offers some of the most beautiful foliage, landscaping and areas just made for photography.
Ok, so still, why was this so special?
Because this is the Assistant Director of the Arboretum. 🙂 A man totally and completely at home. He could name plants as we walked by them, while I tried (in vain) to squint and see the writing on the little metal identification tabs. 😉
We had a lot of fun (or I did at least) while walking around, despite the misty rain and I think the images will show as much.

Thanks for the kind words, Aimee. We had a really good time and I love what I see so far! I do have to make one correction to what you said above – Mark is the Assistant Director. See you tomorrow. Mary
Whoops! Thanks for the correction, Mary! I’ve fixed! I think you’re going to love the images! 🙂
