Today begins the 26 day, A to Z challenge. What is this? It’s a 26 day blog challenge. That means, for 26 days, in April, I will be blogging.

I’ve chosen a theme of photography because, as most of my fans, friends and family know, I’ve been a professional photographer for about 7 years. But … like the old saying ‘the cobbler’s kids have no shoes’, the professional photographer rarely seems to take time to just shoot for fun.

So that’s what I’m going to do. On top of that, in creating images for this little project, I spent a lot of time with my kids, getting their help picking out stuff that works for each letter of the alphabet. Processing and preparing and finishing them was all on me, including whatever crazy/simple/fun frame I used—again, something I haven’t done in ages.

In all honesty, just playing with my camera, practicing settings and finding ways to use flash held by my 8 year olds hasn’t been something I’ve done. So no, these aren’t photos to sell or put up in a gallery or museum, but just … for fun.

So to start … the letter ‘A’ otherwise known as ‘the girl named after Abby Lockhart from ER’. 🙂
