Freedom to Read Blog Hop with prizes! :) Are you free to read??

Thank you, up front, to “I Am A Reader, Not A Writer”, and Katie @ Mundie Moms for hosting this awesome hop!

There’s a lot of talk out there about a certain book called Fifty Shades of Grey. Gray? I dunno. There’s a lot of talk about Hunger Games, too. And Twilight. And, and, and … the list goes on an on. These books have gathered steam in their target audience and/or steamrolled others into reading them. Sure there are lovers and haters of both. There was for Mark Twain’s books, too. And probably Edgar Allan Poe and heck … Shakespeare!

The beauty of it all though is that no matter what we choose to read, in the US at least, we have the FREEDOM TO READ.

We can choose to read Fifty Shades … and love it or hate it. Or, we can choose not to want to read it because of the premise.
We can choose to read Hunger Games … and love it or hate it. Or, we can choose not to want to read it because of the premise.

We have THE CHOICE. The POWER.

This is why not all books become bestsellers. This is why not everyone paints their rooms red or blue or pink or purple. If we did, we’d all be the same. This is why we have republicans and democrats and independents. This is why people live in apartments or houses or townhouses or condos.

It’s called freedom of choice.

And in books, it’s NO different.

So today, I give you … a choice …
